Having an issue where my computer is turning on then off straight away then automatically comes on (and so on.) at first I was thinking power supply but I decided to use the jump pins to reset cmos just incase. When I do this the PC stays on and doesn't reset but nothing on screen, making me think psu is fine?

Ive stripped the PC to bare essentials for testing so just motherboard psi and cup are currently plugged in.

maybe a bad ( dual ) BIOS or bad cpu.

remove heat sink from cpu. clean up and reapply new thermal paste. reassemble. make sure the heat sink is installed correctly. ( intel pins suck )

make sure you clean out the dust from the heat sink as well.

also, remove all ram. leave one stick in nearest slot to cpu.

after restart attempt and it doesn't work, take that 1 stick of ram and put it in the last slot from the cpu.... and then try another dimm if it still doesn't boot.

don't know how long i'll be here. been a long day.
