Graphics Issues?

Go to solution Solved by SorcierX,

The fact it just randomly shutdown and then wouldn't power the graphics card, leads me to believe it's got nothing to do with the extender.

Does this board have onboard video?

If so, remove the gpu, and try booting using onboard.

If no, buy a new psu, take it out of the packaging carefully try it.

If it works, keep the psu, problem solved.

If it doesn't, pack the psu back up and send it back.

My $0.02

So, I purchased this PC as a prebuilt (helpful comments only, please) about a year and a half ago. Today, I was booting Steam, and it just turned off on me, no warning.

When I tried to reboot it, it turned on, but the monitor still said no signal. The GPU fans weren't spinning either, so I assume it's a graphics issue, but is there anything else it could be?

(If there are any fixes not involving buying a new GPU, they'd be appreciated) :)

Specs:

AMD Athlon 860K

R7 370

Some kind of Gigabyte A88X motherboard (I have the manual somewhere)

I considered the PSU being dead, and it is most definitely shitty.

Also, is there a possibility it's something to do with it being run off an outlet extender?
