Hello,

So I was playing a game called Beats!, it's a clone/hybrid of DDR and Osu! that has been designed for play on an android device. The app is nice, however it's development ceased a couple of years ago and I'd like to make my own implementation. Maybe not as something I'd publish to the google play store but something that I could at least use to learn from.

I am familiar with BASH, Python, and JavaScript (Although I have no real experience applying JS to webpages). I also have prior experience with writing GUIs.

So, where would you guys recommend I start?

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.

Look at some Coursera courses in Android development. I´ve used them and learned to make Android Apps long before I knew a single line in Java :)

They explain UI, UX, XML, Java, Json and many other things. And it´s free. And from Google themselves.
