Just in case Ryzen 5 doesn't live up to it's expectations or rumors in gaming, I need an idea of an Intel build just in case. My budget is $1000. If you can fit in a reasonable GPU and an i7 (kaby lake) that would be nice. Also pick parts that are somewhat color matching, don't worry about the color of the PSU or the storage drive(s) though. I plan on using this PC for 4-5 years.

Why do you need an i7?

Getting an i5 and a better GPU would yield better fps.

A locked i7 would be just as good for gaming, if not better than an overclocked i5. You also get much less fps drops and stuttering with an i7.

Can't see the video but, it completely depends on the game an i5 is good for gaming.
