I was looking at getting a laptop for school since I have 5 hours between classes. I was looking at either a cheap referbished laptop with no GPU or a budget gaming laptop with an i5 and 950m. I would like to be able to play a game or two but would be mostly for web browsing and video streaming at school (when the wifi doesn't suck). To be honest, anything is better than trying to watch anime on an underpowered phone.

what's your budget? 950m is last gen and quite slow..

For what he'd use it for, a 950m is just fine.

GTX 950m performance is somewhere in between a GTX 650 and a GTX 650 Ti.

Heh, thanks for the source. 650Ti pushes GTAV lowest at 80+ FPS alongside a i7 870, so it isn't that bad.

idk

I'm looking to spend about $300 to $500 (absolute maximum). I have no real issues with buying used as long as it actually works and can be upgraded (mostly for RAM and storage). I would like it to have an SSD either 240 or 250GB.

I found this one while roaming newegg but I have no need for an i7 CPU.
