I never have used a SSD, everyone says they are great. Are they just extra storage or something else? Also thanks for answering my question so fast. :D

they make your computer boot up very quick and whatever games and programs are on it. They are to me the most noticeable improvement

Can you save things to your SSD or is it just a like "booster" for the hard drive.

why not. we all know how easy u cap 8gb of ram. why hold back when its not that damn expensive to get one more kit for a total of 16?. more versatiled in my mind.

Well considering you said more ram for the hell of it, and i see in your sig 64gb of RAM, if he is gaming you don't need more then 8gb...

Thanks for clarifying I knew I didn't need more than 8gb, I don't see how minecraft will take up that much memory. JK I am going to be playing like battlefield 4, etc on this. I can always buy more if needed! :D

99% of the people on this forum will agree that in a gaming application 8gb is all that is needed he can get 16gb if he wants

an ssd or solid state drive does the same thing as a hard drive (storing etc) but doesn't use mechanical parts and is much faster at doing things. Thats the simplest i can explain it

-Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i

-Gigabyte Z87 LGA 1150 BigFoot LAN Micro ATX Motherboard

The H100i overlaps the top edge of motherboards in the 300R, see the pictures at http://www.overclock.net/t/1144409/h80-h80i-h100-h100i-case-compatibility-thread-page-1-for-full-listings/530#post_19112657. There may be difficulties with the 8-pin power and large heat sink on that edge of the motherboard.

Use a 128GB or larger SSD for the system disk.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Any particular reason for going mATX board on ATX case? I think you should get min 1Tb HDD. They are pretty cheap and 500Gb will be full really soon if you play lot of games or do anything related to video.

Well ATX boards have more expansion slots. But if you find mATX board that has everything you need and might need in near future, then it really doesn't matter. I like bigger boards when they are option.

Hell no, get the minimum amount of RAM you need, RAM is way too expensive these days to waste money on buying more than you need...

I personally haven't seen a difference with an ssd other than faster writes and copies, along with shaving time off of booting.

Nothing to see here, move along
