Hello there, I need to know if you guys know the best D5 pump on the market today. It will be in pair (2 pumps in a dual kit) and cover 2x GPUs, 1x CPU, 2x 300ml reservoirs and 2x 480mm rads.I always bought AIOs or air so I don't know much about the pump market and which pump is best for what. It needs to be compatible with this mod kit but it pretty much covers the main ones.

Bitspower BP-D5MA-ARD = (replaces the large stock body of all Laing D5, Koolance PMP-450, and Swiftech MCP-655 pumps)

They are all laing D5 pumps just rebranded some with extra features like PWM, temp sensors built in and such. As long as your pump top has a screw on mounting system it will work with that mod kit.

They're all the same, just some have PWM control (a pretty much useless feature), Some are Strong-D5's (can only run on highest setting), and some are just plain expensive (Like how the EK D5s cost almost twice as much as a Barrow D5 here in China, yet Barrow D5's are also rebranded Laings).

I would recommend 2 plain D5's (AKA the D5 Varios, which have the speed adjustment dials on the back). As for the linkage, you can either go with a dual D5 Top (which is expensive and unnecessary IMO), or you can chain them together using tubes and fittings, Pump 1's "Out" going into Pump 2's "In." Be sure to set both pumps to the same setting, or else you're gonna be wearing one out faster than the other.

The bitspower red pump cover you showed in the link requires a pump top that has male thread (Some pump tops use their own screw-in flanges, some use other coupling methods). To use that, youll have to get a pump top (Easy to find, just search).

If you still want a "real" D5, not the VP755 (which is a slightly modified D5) there are some differences between the different brands. With certain brands, if you use Mayhems products you void the warranty of the pumps.

" We would also like to advise that Mayhems fluids can damage watercooling products, and using Mayhems fluids can thereby void the warranties offered by the following manufacturers: Koolance, Phobya, Alphacool, Aqua Computer, Watercool. "

Alphacool, Aqua Computer and Watercool all have the D5. So if you are planning to use Mayhems products you're better off buying a D5 from EK.

The real reason is not technical, just lobby.
