I have been getting random reboots frequently, and it doesn't really happen at a certain time, its completely random. For example, I could be playing CS:GO and all the sudden my PC will reboot, sometimes it will even happen while I'm watching a movie on my PC.

All Drivers are up to date, including my BIOS (which I check daily)

Software that is running upon reboots (Discord as always since its my way of communication with friends)

Specifications

Motherboard | MSI 970A PRO GAMING CARBON

Processor | AMD FX-8350 4.00 GHz

Graphics Card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 FTW

Operating System | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

RAM | [16GB] Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x4GB 2133MHz

Power Supply | Corsair RM850

After each reboot I have been finding the same error in Event Viewer.

Level: Critical

Source: Kernal-Power

Event ID: 41

Task Category: (63)

I've looked this up numerous times and it always comes down to my power supply being faulty, I don't believe this, as my power supply is quite new. About 5 months old I believe. I also don't believe that this is a heating issue, I've used HWMonitor to check all my temps including when I'm playing graphic intensive games. All temps seem to be normal according to a couple of sites, benchmarking and friends.

This issue is really getting annoying and is growing on me, I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.

Thanks,

Xero.

that error means there was something "unexpected", check your temps and run your ram on memtest86

edit: probably is a PSU problem, had a similar thing once and after 3 weeks the psu burst into flames

does this message also pop up?

"Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D.

No, I saw this right after the critical error but I don't know if it means anything (I'm not that great with troubleshooting)

Plainly Restarts, does not power down.

Instead of the screen going to the "Restarting..." screen, it goes black as if it was just powering up.

If it just goes black then I would say it's a PSU problem.

If it wasn't then you'll get either a BSOD or a system freeze but not a complete black out.

It's not a race to the bottom.

I don't understand how that'd be possible when its literally spanking new, and how my old psu did the same thing
