what's the difference between all the wd colors? I see some that are 1 tb for $50-$60 but there's one a different "color" that's $100 more

WD Red is for NAS operation: 24/7 operation, high speeds

WD: Blue is for normal day-to-day work.

WD Green: is for quite low powered PCs.

WD Purple: 24/7 high speeds surveillance.

Reliability, speed, and warranty(though not all factors may change). One thing to bear in mind is that any Green hard drives you see in stores are older ones, as they discontinued them, and merged Blues and Greens together with Blues as the dominant color.

Seagate Video ST1000VM002 1TB 5900 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive so for this drive... which one is this cause it doesn't say which one probably cause it's not by wd or whatever I'm new to building pcs and only built one
