Second 1080

Hi I have a coolermaster v750 and my current 1080 us powered off a pci-e cable with 2 8 pin connectors only one of which is required for the gpu.

 

My question is can i power the second gpu using this cable or will i need to plug in a second pci-e power cable?

check your rail amps for that PSU and amps required for the GPU

 

I'm gonna guess a FE 1080 as you didn't state:

 

you will be fine, I ran a check with 2x 1080, 6950X, 4 sticks of 8gb, RGB, fans, optical, ssd, m.2, HDD etc and it was 620w

its a evga superclocked 1080 im not worried about the wattage just weather it was advisable to have 2 on the same pci-e connector
