Hello liquid cooling people. I am considering water cooling the build I am working on and I need some insight from people who know more than I do. I need ideas on how to do the loop because I'm not sure what the most effect loop would be. The three things I need cooled are the two cpus (dual socket board) and the gpu. Would it be best to do multiple loops or one that connects all three? Or perhaps something else entirely?

I was originally planning to do air cooling but I am starting to think that having that many fans going all the time is going to bother me and liquid cooling will likely be much quieter. Also I don't have to worry about it looking to terribly special, maybe a little special I mean it is water cooling but the case I am using doesn't have any side panel windows so the majority of the time I wouldn't see it anyway.

Thanks for the help

It is an older dell server case. The original computer was called a Dell poweredge t410

i don't see how you are going to be able to do it since it doesn't look like there is radiator support on the case

It doesn't have any whatsoever. I am already modding the case significantly so I'm not too worried about that. I will probably put it on the top or the front or maybe some other place.

Assuming I will be able to get the gear in the case, I'm wondering what would make the most effective setup. There is enough space in the case to where I can put things pretty much wherever I need them considering I am already going to be modding this case.

you could use external radiators. watercool does sell them for example.

i would go for one loop. Multiloops cost way more (more pumps, fittings, ...) and don't improve the cooling.

That is an interesting idea, with the case already being as big as it is though I'm not sure if I want to make it take up more space. That would probably be the easiest solution though. If I did one loop what order should I put the cpus and gpu? If I had the water run through two of the parts would it be warm by the time it got to the third?

The water flows very quickly through the loop. The termperature difference between the hottest and coldest point is so low that it does not matter.

You only need enough radiator-survace. I can't realy tell you much you should have because i have no idea how much heat those serverparts produce but i would go for a minimum of 120mm per cooled part.

Okay I was concerned about that thanks for clearing it up. And they don't produce a ton of heat but I will make a little more just because I will have two cpus, also they are both hyperthreaded six cores
