Underclocking m-5Y51 cpu?

Hey guys!
I just saw Dave2D's new video about underclocking CPU voltage on a laptop for better thermal performance. I have a Yoga 3 Pro and it's thermal throttling a bit at times.
So my questions is: How good for an idea is it to underclock a laptop CPU, and is it possible on a M-5Y51 CPU?

Well you can just try it and if it does not work out, you can just put it back to default
