So here's the problem I go to render it in youtube 1080p on media encoder and it ends up with black bars on the right and left of the video blocking some of the image. This has annoyed me for too long please. here is a picture of it to help you guys understand the problem.

what should I set it to and how would I do that, sorry I am kind of new to media encoder my friend only told me to put in youtube 1080p.

16:9 is the standard.

if the resolution is 1920 x 1080 it should be 16:9.

maybe the X axis is messed up?

Since the whole video has black bars on the side, it's most likely a issue with the way you're exporting.

BTW, just watching the video, there are a few misconceptions and mistakes.

you claim, (at 0:40) that Xeons are not good for gaming, but what you have in the system is basically an i7 with no integrated graphics

you also say, at 1:25, that the CPU has 4 cores, 4 threads, and hyperthreading, which doesn't make any sense. just a tip.

it would also be cool if you could include some screenshots of the price of the components, etc. just to spice things up a bit.

it's also not a cheap workstation. it's a very good PC.

not trying to burst your bubble or anything. just giving some constructive criticism

EDIT: Holy shit an RX480, you built an awesome gaming PC. that's definitely not a workstation.

No problem man.

Just trying to improve your content. not trying to blame you or anything.

can you take a screenshot of your current render settings?

IDK the layout of your editor, but you usually find them next to the export button.

I think I fixed it but I will see

your problem is that the source is in a 1440 x 900 resolution, which is not 16:9

maybe record your gameplay in 1080p?

Also, for future screenshots, attempt to keep out any part that says your user on the computer.

in this case, it says that the final file will be located at c:/users/ethan, so I can assume your name is ethan.

no biggie, I'm not going to stalk you or murder you, but if privacy online is important to you, you may want to omit this info from future screenshots.

In this case, your rendering can't fix anything, because the source file is not 16:9 resolution.

record in a 16:9 ratio. I would recommend 1080p (as your GPU probably has recording software built in so there is less performance overhead)

Just say that it's good for gaming in the video. it's a great all-rounder PC.
