CPU overheating, delid?

Hello Everyone!!

 

well I'm new here and, well I have a question (yey...)

 

I currently have an old laptop (Asus N53J) and well I cannot even run windows in it, cause every time I install windows it, well just freezes, so I'm not sure but I think is my Processor overheating so I'm running ZorinOs linux.

so I was wondering if anyone knows a good thermal paste to use for my prossesor once I De-lid it.

[and a some what good high temp silicon as well]

You can't delid... mobile processors come delidded and just the bare die out of the box. Just get some thermal paste and some compressed air and clean that sucker.

better open the laptop and clean the radiators and replace the thermal compound

 I did that a while back, but still overheating.

 

Any thermal paste that you guys would recommend?

it largely doesn't matter, I've always used mx-4. I would go for a none conductive one though.
