I have purchased a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW DT(http://bit.ly/2m0DWrx)  and have a modular power supply corsair RMx 750(http://bit.ly/2lOlKkG). I currently have in my system a gtx 960 which requires only 1 input power and this is the first computer I have built. On my 6+2-pin pcie power cable there are 2 6+2-pin connectors.

Do I have to run 2 pcie power cables to the graphics card or may I use one?

If I use only one are there any drawbacks?

Welcome to the Forums!

You will need to wire up both connectors but can use a daisy chained (dual 6+2pin) cable on a single GPU. It's only a concern for extremely power hungry GPU's that may require two completely separate cables.

Thank you was unsure and wanted to check before I installed and or changed anything.
