Nah I came in here to tell you to rate, you can't use my excuse against me pfft!

I rate it a 5/10. For remedial means.

-1 for WHERE'S THE RYZEN

-1 for this is still related to ryzen but, MSI GAME BOOST KNOB STAGE 0-11

-1 for again this is a motherboard quirk, Why is that RAM red, that GPU red, and that Motherboard Red and White

-1 for why is that 525 GB of Crucial MX300 so overpriced it was 107$ a month ago, if you're paying this much for TLC get the better technology and go Samsung EVO 850 with V-NAND

-1 for if you're going Low End Air cooling why not get the cheaper EVO 212, which is probably the best low cost air cooling out there.

-0 for Mid Tower case, haha

Well I did say this is for remedial means, it remedies me LOL!

But I still think that if he spent the extra 90$ on Ryzen and skimp out on the AM4 motherboard for a 330$ R7 1700 and a 100$ AM4 Motherboard he would have double the performance and wouldn't need to overclock at all. Since it's not unlocked anyways. And the 65W TDP is a huge bonus. But Like I said it remedies me.

Also, I want to state it here. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I do what would fit me, best bang for the buck that you're spending. So I'm being more aggressive because he could get more performance for the same price because that's what I would do.

Honestly, the only thing that matters to me is a sound card, it just needs to be decent. And that's literally in all motherboards. I don't need any extra stuff like a wifi card. Just the essentials. I don't need the extra stuff. The extra stuff are just what it's meant for. Extra stuff that aren't essential so they can justify the extra price.

And that's why I stated a 100$ AM4 motherboard haha, the cheapest Full ATX motherboard xD

How do you know that a Ryzen cpu will give double the performance ? Where are you getting that info from ? Unless you have some inside information then we don't know how it will perform until we have some solid reviews that are not AMD biased.

If the op is purely gaming then Intel might still be the better performing cpu. We will just have to wait and see.

Looks fine, i don't know the performance of that cooler tho so idk if you can overclock much on that.

An Intel cpu might still turn out to be better if you are purely gaming i.e No Video editing/rendering etc. The release date is only about a week off though for Ryzen (Beginning of March) so it is still a good idea to hang back before you buy anything. Hopefully we will see some solid reviews in the upcoming days/weeks.

That is true. However, think about the other possibilities. And I will agree with you for this

8 Cores are Optimized for 8 Cores

6 Cores are Optimized for 6 Cores

4 Cores are Optimized for 4 Cores

Games are Optimized for 4 Cores

But personally, I would give up the very few frames that the 4 Core has over a 6 or 8 core for more CPU power overall as neither CPU or GPU of this generation will bottleneck each other therefore, the frames lost over a 4 core isn't a noticeable amount to the amount of power GPUs put out these days. Especially on 1080p.
