So some of you may be familiar with this problem as there have been a few old, previous posts about this on the forums, all of which came up short in terms of solutions and so I ask to see if anyone has any new ideas or any ideas at all really.

If your not familiar with this issue, then some of the key issues are these:

  • It is an issue to do with the ethernet port driver, specifically the "Realtek Network Controller" driver.
  • Whenever I try to reinstall or repair the driver it comes up with the message:

"The Realtek Network Controller was not found.  If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."

There is also some discussions on other sites and forums that try to offer up solutions and I have tried them all and none of them work for me.  Some of these include:

  • Removing the RAM sticks for a while
  • Removing the motherboard battery for a while
  • Resetting the motherboard's BIOS

I'm at a complete loss at this point and don't know what to do.  So if anyone has any ideas or experience regarding this problem, I would be very grateful if you could share.

Cheers,

Xvantok

Note:

My system build is here if it helps out:

  • MSI Z97i ITX

It Won't Fail Cause of Me.
