5x magnification macro, is it possible with extension tubes?

electrolux

Is it possible to get 5x macro using extension tubes on a MFT 14mm lens? Of course, technically its possible but what about practically?

The only MFT lens which natively supports 5:1 is the Yasuhara Nanoha

For reference, this is the sort of magnification I'm aiming for. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/42420990

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it. :P

Read this article, you may need a long extension tube because 14mm focal length lenses do not have high native magnification themselves.

For example, this 14mm lens from Panasonic has a magnification of 0.1x (according to listed specs), and since it's a 14mm lens you would need about a 70mm extension tube to get 5x magnification.

Have you considered reverse mounting or coupling lenses, you can achieve higher than 1x magnification this way also.
