RX 480 or GTX 1060 about to buy one

I am gonna buy a new graphics card this week and it is going to be either a 480 or 1060. I made a post about this about a month ago but I just want to clarify. I have 250 to spend and on my post earlier I was told that the drivers have made the 480 a better choice for a budget like mine. (Also I will be getting the MSI version of whichever card I get). What do you guys think I should get?

1060 for older games, 480 for newer games, i would go for the 480.

1060 is better in dx11 games but the rx480 is better in dx12 and has a extra 2 gb of VRAM, i'd go with the 480

Okay, the 480 is what I was leaning towards anyway. Thanks for the quick response!

1060 = Older DX11 champ

480 = Newer DX11 and DX12 and Vulkan champ

 

Just get the cheapest in your region. And for the 480, the best card is the XFX GTR Black Ed.

%100 480. I only have a 470 and it works like a dream.

As the owner of both a 6GB GTX 1060 and a 4GB RX 480. 

 

I'd get a RX 480 4GB for $155.
