Are PCs consoles

One of my classmates thinks that PCs are consoles, and that XBOX is better than PC. Shut him down.

Holy crap. A console is a downgraded PC. Just tell him I said he's stupid...

(Not saying Console Gamers are stupid, but you all know a PC can render more)...

And a Xbox, he should have rather said PS4...

lol hate people like that just tell him that pcs are more upgradeable, more cost effective, and have bigger game libraries.

Current generation consoles are in fact PC's. But PC's are not all consoles. Most are not consoles at all.

Whether one is better than the other or not depends on your criteria. It's not a simple "PC's are better!" or "Consoles are better!" It depends on the test and what you value.

Is a $1500 PC with a GTX 1080 better than an XBOX One in terms of performance? Yeah of course. But the prices are totally incomparable.

Plus, Windows based PC's don't make very good couch based devices. There are a lot of compromises or difficult technical workarounds involved in making a PC work well in place of a console at your media centre and on a couch.
