I`m not sure this is the right place to post this but I figured it might help.

Could you guys suggest a good thermal paste to apply on the GPU?

A few days ago I asked about a GPU related problem

and you guys said it might because it was overheating, I checked with MSI AFTERBOOSTER and although it was not overheating, Utilization limit keep dropping to 0 every once in a while(and by that I mean quite too often) and sometimes it would stay there quite some time, and on the forums it was saying that it might be because it's over heating(but not only).

I reckon it was a good time to change the paste for both the GPU and CPU as I have this PC for about 8 years, and I`ve never did it. I do need to upgrade but I`ll give this PC to my sister for some art related work and I want it to be usable.

I will also try to downgrade to win 8.1 or 7 in a few days, to see if that will fix it.

Thanks again guys ! :)

I mean, I use this stuff just because I get it for about a buck and a half at work.

I've used it on multiple CPUs, my GT 610, my HD 6770, and my GTX 780, no issues.

So it works good for both.

This one is sold in Amazo.es (spain). Ive used It on my gpu (and It lowered 7-9 degrees). Ive also used on y laptop which had some thermal throttling troubles (yes the paste was kinda old) but It no longer throttles.

Ive used many before and I can vouch ofr this one. Its the best Ive ever used and theres a REAL diffrence (of 10 degrees or more) between a bad one, and a good one.

P.D: why 20g? Isnt It way too much? Yes It is, but I change lost of pastes on lots of pcs, my brothers, my brothers laptop, my mothers laptop, my dads pc, mine, my laptop, etc... And eventhough I dont use It all It is well preserved during the years if you keep It well closed and not exposed to sun, and stuff.

Edit: ~4g is just enough to use It on your gpu, and your cpu whne the time comes and replace both a couple of times.
