I have been Running the same Machine for quiet some time now with a GPU change late last year. Today I came Home and my System wouldn't post. I threw out my RAM from DIMM 2 and it works again. I thought that my RAM couldn't just have died with no signs of Issues before so I threw it on ALL other three DIMM Slots and on DIMM 1 (Where my other 4GB are on) It worked. Now my Other RAM that I have in my System works on all 4 DIMMs though... Now Im a bit confused as to why that could be. Anyone got an Idea? (Please excuse my bad english had a rough day at work).

The RAM is some no Brand RAM that came with my old prebuild.

Thanks in advance!

But why would It work in slot1 but not in 2-4?

Maybe voltage problems... try to search online coz I'm not an expert on it

are you using all 4 DIMMs ? if you only have 2 sticks of ram they need to go in certain slots first. Should be indicated on the DIMM slots, usually u have to populate 2 and 4 before 1 and 3

Home PC:

CPU: i7 4790s ~ Motherboard: Asus B85M-E ~ RAM: 32GB Ballistix Sport DDR3 1666 ~ GPU: Sapphire R9 390 Nitro ~ Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-03 ~ Storage: Kingston Predator 240GB   PCIE M.2 Boot, 2TB HDD, 3x 480GB SATA SSD's in RAID 0 ~ PSU:    Corsair CX600
Display(s): Asus PB287Q , Generic Samsung 1080p 22" ~ Cooling: Arctic T3 Air Cooler, All case fans replaced with Noctua NF-B9 Redux's ~ Keyboard: Logitech G810 Orion ~ Mouse: Cheap Microsoft Wired (i like it) ~ Sound: Radial Pro USB DAC into 250w Powered Speakers ~ Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise x64

Work PC:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1275 v3 ~ Motherboard: Asrock E3C226D2I ~ RAM: 16GB DDR3 ~ GPU: GTX 460 ~ Case: Silverstone SG05 ~ Storage: 512GB SATA SSD ~ Displays: 3x1080p 24" mix and matched Dell monitors plus a 10" 1080p lilliput monitor above ~ Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise x64

Yeah I tried that. It didn't work. I tried 1+2 (Like I had it before) 3+4, 1+3 and 2+4. But I only got the Ram sticks working in slot one and when I introduced the second RAM stick into the system It wouldn't post.
