Temp swapping storage

I need to take a laptop on holiday for work but I want to put my ssd that I use on my own pc into the laptop. Could there be any problems from changing to the ssd and once I'm done installing it back into my own pc?

You'll need to install the drivers for your laptop. (although Windows 10 may do this for you)

And Windows might de-activate because the licence is tied to the motherboard.

Quite a few.

 

Drivers may not go well, the chipset is most definitely different etc.. would more than likely fail to boot.

All the above xD. Bwah, i tought that the Windows 10 system license wouldnt literally walk away with your genuine key by just changing the SSD and not the motherboard entirely .-.?

So since im waiting for the new ryzen processors, I will also have to buy another win 10 key or is there a way I can transfer it over?

Sorry for the late response. I think you can transfer it if you log into your Microsoft account on the current PC and then log in on the new PC, Microsoft also do (or did) an automated phone service to activate your new computer if you have the licence key.
