Underclocking RAM Assistance

Hey guys. I thank you all in advance for taking the time to read about my issue here.

I'll cut to the chase. 

I recently bought new RAM sticks, because a couple of my old ones died. With the new ones installed, the computer doesn't do jack. No error, nothing. (Starts, runs 3 seconds, restarts)

I think it's because of the fact that my cpu doesn't have xmp, so I have to manually set the frequencies and timing delays on my RAM and such.

The computer boots with a couple of old RAM, so I can set new values, restart, close pc, insert new ram and see if it works.

I just don't know exactly what to do here, considering I'm very inexperienced and don't really have the guts to start messing with ram voltages and memory multipliers on my own.

I would say the ram is just bad and RMA it.

OK, I have a computer service nearby, I'll just take it there for a quick test, it's faster than having to send the ram back. I'll report back when I have the results.

UPDATE: Got the RAM tested, they work fine. I left the computer there for a full component scan, will post results once I have them.
