I have never done dual monitors 

How many frames will i drop, if any

I will be using a 280x Toxic

Your fps will drop to 50% if you play accros them.

if you want eyefinity i would go with 3 monitors .. think about it, it makes no sense to run the image across 2 screens,  the bezle on the monitor will be right in the middle and everything will be kinda wierd .. 

 

if you have 3 monitors you got one in the middle and 1 on each side which makes perfect sense .. i would buy 3 monitors for eyefinity and 2 for more multitasking/more windows open/ generally more screen realestate, but that's just me.

I think you can do that i just have mine seperate it should be in the settings if you want that. Are you gaming on them or have one gaming and one not?

Ok then  yes they should be seperate and you should only lose 3-5 +or- frames at most

you wont lose any frames serious , i use 3 monitors for extended desktop and play on the middle one , one thing you get is a hotter gpu
