So today I tried to overclock my 6700k on my ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero on the most recent bios but I ran into some issues. So I set my ratio to 45, my Vcore to 1.3V, my LLC to level 5, and booted into windows. I ran Aida 64 Extreme for 2 hours and everything was stable. But I noticed that my temps where a bit higher than expected ( I have an NZXT X52 Cooling my CPU). So I open up HWmonitor and see that my CPU core voltage is fluctuating around 1.42V while stress testing even though it is manually set to 1.3V in the bios.

If if you have any idea for why this is happening please let me know.

its the LLC overcompensating, put it down to lvl 3 or so, i personaly dont even use LLC because i dont need it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I can verify that it is not the LLC. I set my core voltage to 1.3 and my LLC to level 1 but I was still hitting 1.42V in HWmonitor

Ok I don't know why this is happening. I set everything to default in the BIOS and booted into windows and when I run AIDA 64, CPU-Z says my max voltage is 1.248V but HW monitor says 1.452V
