Hello. i have an external hdd with XP,os but its so full of viruses and stuff that booting it up takes 2 years and navigating takes another eon or two.

 

Does anyone know how i can wipe it clean witout saying byebye to the os ?. ( i dont have the disk that came with the hdd, bear im mind its almost10 years old)

Connect it to a modern computer, and scan it with a anti-malware programme.

 

If you din't mind reinstalling, you can use a key finder programme to extract the product key. And then reinstall.

is that lind/software full of ****. or is it safe and legit :P ? i dont mind reinstalling at all. prefer to start over to be honest. 10 year old drive. dont wannak now what i was doing back then lol
