I bought the lamp in Europe and now I live in the States. The lamp works with European light bulbs and with American ones too. The reason why I need a voltage converter is because I want to use my Phillips hue that I bought in Europe which don't work on this voltage here.

Hey,

As I say, that one would possibly work however as you are in the US it may be worth using this one: https://www.amazon.com/Bright-VC500W-Voltage-Transformer-converter/dp/B000MX1QXA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487466383&sr=8-1&keywords=120-240v+step+up+transformer

If you intend to make it fit inside of the product then you could get a different one that is designed to go inside a product however if you do not need to fit it inside then that one should work fine.

Hope this helps

I am looking for a reliable continuous use voltage step up converter (120V-240V) for a lamp that I own. Can anyone recommend me a reliable unit? Thanks in advance!

Hey,

Why do you need a voltage converter, is it something that you have made your self as if it has for example a UK plug on it, you could just use a plug converter and it should work fine. Most power transformers should work fine. Something like this would work: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ADAPTOO-STEP-TRANSFORMER-SPECIAL-WATTS/dp/B00NWRLEVC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487465548&sr=8-1&keywords=120v+240v+step+up+transformer

What country are you in so that I can give the best recommendation?

Also hope this helps
