Is the AMD fx-8350 nearly as good as the Intel core i5 6500? I am thinking of getting an AMD fx-8350 for my build I am going to do this summer but I wanna know if it compares to the i5 6500. For your answer please don't just say "no", explain it to me. I am new here.

6500 is more powerful. But I would wait for ryzen.

The FX-8350 is a really old processor that was not competitive when it was released and is finally going to be replaced soon after many long years. Look into AMD Ryzen to find out more about whats coming, cause its really neat.

I looked at the AMD Ryzen 5 1600x and it looks really cool! how much do you think it will cost exactly?
