A couple times this month, I have been getting a blue screen (with Windows 10 OS) saying SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. I need help. How do I fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a driver listed next to the error?

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070

MOBO: ASUS Z370-F STRIX

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133MHz

I don't think so.

Try checking Event Viewer or download Bluescreen View.

There should be...usually those blue screens will say "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLE" followed by a driver/thread. Usually in brackets next to it.

It is quite possible. Every time it happens, I only am able to read until "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" before the system restarts.

Try and pull up one of the blue screen logs. I'm assuming it's happened recently? If you find one, or it happens again, or if you get any more info, let us know! :)

This is a "critical" that I found that I think may have been the blue screen. I can only understand parts of it (the things that are written in plain English). Hope this is helpful in some way?

As far as I can see (and I may be wrong) that's just saying that the PC shut down unexpectedly. Could be due to loss of power or, as we've discussed, a blue screen...However, it doesn't seem to say much about the specifics, and there doesn't seem to be a mention of the blue screen.

What I can suggest, if you experienced "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLE", and you do have an Nvidia GPU, there's a chance the thread was related to an Nvidia driver. If there's a new driver available, go ahead and do a "clean install", if not, try re-installing your current driver, and making sure there aren't any traces of the older versions. If you still have the problem, then it's probably unrelated to the GPU drivers.

Alright, I don't think that was the issue. My system just rebooted with the blue screen of death again. I managed to take a picture of it before it restarted. It said the same thing. It also said below, "What failed: bcmwl63a.sys"

A quick google search of "bcmwl63a.sys" shows that it's a Broadcom wireless adapter driver. Assuming this is correct, you should try re-installing the driver completely, see if that solves the issue!
