Hello!

I have a problem with my PC booting up..

It boots up okey, then hits the Bios screen where it kinda freezes, thinks (?) for like 20-25 seconds / Nothing works at that moment, I can't access the BIOs or anything / and then boots up like normal.

I do have an SSD and it has never done that prior to last week.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Can't access the BIOS? That's a bit strange. But since it sounds like the BIOS is causing the problem you basically have two options for troubleshooting:

1 Reset your BIOS (check your manual for instructions) or update your UEFI/BIOS to the latest version

2 Unplug as many things as you can to see if a hard drive/USB device/PCI card/disc drive/etc is causing the problem

Does you mum know you're here?

Silly question but I am new to this stuff...

If I have multiple BIOS updates that I do not have ( like for example I have Bios version 1 and there are 1.2 | 2.0 | 2.3 etc ) do I have to start from the oldest or can I just Skip them and get the newest?

You can jump straight to latest.

FIRST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO USB FLASH DRIVES OR HARD DISKS CONHECTED!!!

Your issue is almost certainly a dying hard drive stalling the bios during post. If you have any other drives (apart from your SSD) disconnect them all then try reconnecting them one by one until you find the culprit.

If not then disconnect your SSD and see if the issue goes away.

BTW when it comes to updating BIOSes there's no such thing as a silly question, if your unsure ASK else you might end up with a very expensive brick.

You can skip straight to the latest bios unless it specifically says to do it in steps.

Clear your cmos, flash the bios, clear the cmos again.

Please make sure you won't have any power cuts (like if you're on a pre-paid meter, or during bad weather) If it bricks during this, then it's bricked.

Some have dual bios' but I wouldn't rely on that.

Try clearing your Cmos before you flash though. Flashing should be the last resort.

It's not a race to the bottom.
