Hi all, I have been having issues with complete computer shutdowns for a few months now. I took the time to do some testing and after much fretting over temperatures or driver issues, I have come to the conclusion that my power supply has some issue where it cannot handle my crossfire configuration. Whenever I game with both cards plugged in the computer would turn itself off, regardless of temperatures. It would then cycle back on with no video output and the cpu light on the motherboard lit. However when I remove one of my 7950s I have no issues whatsoever. I have tried both 7950s by themselves and both perform without issues. The power supply is an OCZ 1000w Fatal1ty so it should have more than enough power to drive my system especially since I have no overclock on my cpu currently. Are my issues due to a faulty power supply or is there some other issue in my system? My system specs are listed below, I would appreciate any advice or help thanks!

Update your BIOS

Would that solve the issue? This problem only started after I have had the machine for about a year.

My friend had a similar issue, I updated his BIOS and the issue was fixed. Just try updating your BIOS

It might be the power supply overheating since this is the only thing you can't monitor. I would try to put a case fan as exhaust in front of the psu venting holes to see if it happens. I had this problem before and I realized that it was my psu overheating and shutting down.

Well I updated the BIOS and the problem still occurs. I have a hard time believing that the PSU is overheating as my case has good ventilation and this problem only started happening after I had had the machine for about a year.
