Hey, recently I bought a 120gb ocz ssd for games only, my idea was to install windows on my hard drive, but I changed my mind and would like to install windows on it but as it is only a 120gb ssd (111gb after partition formatting) would I be able to create a partition with almost the size of windows 10 64bits leaving just 1gb free or so and install all the windows updates on the hard drive?

Many thanks, Bruno.

120Gb SSD is more than enough to install windows on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it does take up no more then 30-40GB.

Sounds about right, but if they are really going to partition the drive for windows, I'd allot at least 80-100Gb for included windows updates down the line. Better safe than sorry!

I know 120gb is more than enough, my point is, if windows takes 20gb of space, can I just create a 21~gb partition and install just windows on it? Installing any other program I need on the hdd?

I wouldn't put games on an ssd. Some games make senses, but most games are massive amounts of data that get very small benifits from an ssd. Put your programs and os on the ssd, with maybe your top played games.

What is your reasoning to partitioning windows by itself? It won't act any differently if you simply;

    1) Install windows on the ssd

    2) Install anything else on the ssd

It won't consume as much memory if I partition it, I mean, if there's no memory for updates, there won't be any updates, right?

It's never a good idea to avoid updates... and I don't have any experiences trying to keep "minimal" Windows space requirements... always have some head room.
