there is one setting which you can toggle to make power button to disconnect call or not 

 

 

Hey for whatever reason everytime I call someone on my htc one and I use headphones or the speakers, there is no way to light up the screen again...wtf, the only button on the phone is the power button and when i press that, it disconnect the call. Help

 

Settings > Accessibility > Power button ends call.
