I'll skip sentence structure and just give a list of stuff that's happened and stuff I've tried

-Computer was working perfectly fine for a month, had handled stress tests on both gpu and cpu at good temps (71 and 65)

-Just last Sunday it suddenly didn't POST, before it had the sudden inability to post I had shut it down and left it for ~2 hours before leaving for dinner.

-Pulled out the GPU after suspecting it was a motherboard issue and not wanting to risk damaging it but then it successfully posted without it and still posted after I put it back in.

ok?

-Left it idle the next day (chrome, discord etc running in the background) and went to go take a shower, when I got back all the fans were going at full blast despite the monitors being off. I shut the computer down in a panic and it seemed fine afterwards, no toxic smells and normal temps.

-The second time the computer didn't POST was later that day. This time I pulled out the 6 pin power to the GPU, got an error message telling me to put it back in, and it booted up fine after I shut it down and plugged it back in.

ok???

-And now today after coming home from school the computer didn't POST. This time I pulled out the GPU, cleaned off the pci-e connector with cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol before putting it back in after noticing some gunk on it. Computer booted up fine after putting the GPU back in.

-I was researching what might've caused the issues when my computer suddenly shut down and restarted. Being very confused I decided to stress test my system, I ran Unigine valley and a blender render then Unigine valley by itself. (Is that even a proper stress test? I have no idea)

-Computer ran both fine for ~2 hours so I turned off Unigine Valley and BAM, computer crashed and restarted.

-Started googling if this was an issue with the GTX 1060 or something else when the computer crashed again.

This time I'm shutting it down and leaving it until I figure out whats going on. My brother will be home on Friday and we can swap our GPU's to try and see where the problem is, but other than that I have no idea whats going on. It was my first build so it's very possible I messed up on the build somewhere but it has worked for the past month so I'm not sure.

Is it the cheap motherboard? Is it the PSU? Is it possible that something came loose in the system? Or am I just in possession of haunted hardware?
