New networking solution

Hi, I was wondering if, for a new, beefy wifi system, I should go industrial with an ubiquity ac hd access point, or go consumer with an asus ac5300. The ac5300 would have to be in a worse place in the house, though. Thank you!

Hi,

depends on how much you are comfortable spending and how long range / powerful wifi solution you need. If you have a lot of devices you will be connecting to via Wifi, or some sort of balling internet connection, and the money to drop on a (I think) 300$ access point than why not.

We need more info of you use case dude. How big is your house? Do you have drywalls, bricks, concrete or which material? Do you live in an RF crowded area? Details! Details!

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Pretty big house, and sturdy walls which have made wifi an issue in the past. We live in a condo, which has a lot of 2.5ghz activity.
