Hello!

I have build my first ever waterloop and I am quite happy with it so far. But I reallised a flaw with my draining system. As you can see from the pictures I have my drain Port on the lowest Point in my System, on the Radiator.

The Order is as following:

-Pump

-GPU

-Radiator

(back to Pump)

But I can't fully drain my System like that. Alot of Water stays in the Reservoir and the GPU Block.

My Question now is:

Can I change the order to

-Pump

-Radiator

-GPU

(back to Pump)

?

This would mean that I can completely drain my system down to the last drop.

Is it "allowed" to do it in this order? Or are there things I have to concider?

Thanks!

Personally I would leave it where it is, usually your not going to be able to drain every last drop from a loop. If there is a lot of fluid you can easily tilt the system to get rid of the rest of the fluid.

Loop order doesn't matter, the only exception been that the reservoir is higher than the pump so there is no risk of the pump running dry. The position of the drain at the moment looks fine, as already said by @W-L, its pretty difficult to fully drain a loop without man handling or flushing

Id also add the CPU to your loop, you got a 480 rad there which is enough for CPU + GPU

After I drain it, I take off a tube since there wont be water anymore in the tubes and I blow air into it which pushes all the water into the res. Idk if that is unsanitary for the loop, I guess as long as you don't spit in it. Or use a bike air pump.

Also since you're not looping CPU and GPU you can tube it however you want.

Loop order won't matteras much as flow direction, for certain parts anyway. Just pull a hose off and tilt the thing.
