Painting MSI Gaming X rx 480

I was planning to paint an MSI Gaming X rx 480 green (the part near the left fan), however I heard that some of the lights on the card (lights near right fan) are not rgb, is this true? If it is true could I replace the lights with pieces of plastic, replace the light, or paint over them?
