How much cache does a HDD need?

GauntletV2

So I.m looking at a 2.5in HDD for mass storage for a laptop, and planned to throw a steam library on it.  The only difference from a larger 3.5in HDD is that this one has 32mb of cache.  Is this bad? How will this affect games?

The cache on HDDs is what makes them fast for the small transfer/the first few seconds of a transfer. RPM affects load times of games more than cache.

the seek times seem to matter a whole bunch as well, but ideally your games shouldnt be *that* all over the place :P
