My GPU started playing up when i decided to test a new 10-Gbit PCI-E card, so i switched to onboard graphics in the BIOS as i would need to take the GPU out, and once i did that, the GPU literally died.

I bought a new motherboard and CPU + ram, (I5 4570K, 8GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz, and Asus H81M) and it will NOT work without a DVI to VGA adapter.

Straight DVI to DVI in the monitor does not work and shows no signal, DVI to HDMI does not work either, however for some strange reason, DVI to VGA seems to work, bizzare!

Is there something im missing? or am i right in thinking its time to upgrade (as this card is fairly old) with these problems?
