dead usb 2.0 mobo

what are the chances that every single usb port/connector on my motherboard(ASUS P9X79 PRO) are dead, nothing responds when i connect anything to them

This related to the XBOX controller? Is the USB controller installed in device manager? Check bios also

im unsure wether it is related, but it seems to be point towards the adapter being faulty, but ever since i got the pc the USB 2.0 has never worked and only the usb 3.0 has worked

Ok well heres the thing, my receiver wouldn't work in the USB 3. only USB 2.0

ive always had it plugged in on 3.0 and its worked fine

Lol these controllers, mine stopped working in USB 3 and had to go in the USB 2.0. You tried USB 2.0 front panel header?

anything related to usb2.0 doesnt work :/

the adapter shows up, but i cant connect the controller via usb since it the usb broke on the controller

I thought your USB 2.0 on the motherboard wasn't working? You need to diagnose that first then worry about the XBOX controller cause I bet it will work on USB 2.0

any ideas as to why ALL my usb 2.0 DONT work at all, neither do the headers?
