I am overclocking my i7-7700k on a gigabyte z270 mini itx wifi board. I just used the preset bios to "upgrade" my chip to i7 7700k 5ghz auto. After giving the cpu 1.41volts it worked! cineabenchg scores are great. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't overheat so I began a ROG stress test. After 7mins of running at 5000.1mhz it began to slip down to 2500mhz every few seconds. the process kept happening so I shut down the test. Temps were well within limit when this happened. Maybe its my power supply? I have 430 watts EVGA.

thanks!
