Problem with Backlit Keyboard

So I just got my GIGABYTE P57w v6 and it was supposed to have a backlit keyboard(it even has a sticker saying so).

However even when I press the function(Fn) key + spacebar(supposed to be the backlight key) nothing happens. I tried pressing them together, one after the other, holding and pressing and nothing.

The only thing I can remember is uninstalling a bunch of bloatware and maybe, possibly having uninstalled something related to the backlit keyboard? If that is the case then could someone tell me which software I need to install to get the lights on?
