I was watching that Steelseries pulled out a new range of headphones, the Arctis, in which they are the Arctis 3, 5 and 7. According to the brand they say that it has the same speakers as the high-end, for example the SIberia 600 but the difference is it has 40mm drivers. With regard to the microphone implemented the "Clearcast" bidirectional microphone, which in my opinion is quite decent, and that is why I thought it could be a very recommended option. Beyond the sound also has a new type of material on the band and earcups with more comfort to have long days of play with a material based on athletic apparel.

What do you think?

I got a pair of Arctis 5 for free from SS (As a replacement for an old faulty headset), the mic is great compared to every other headset i have used i get compliments on how decent it is. The sound quality is good nothing amazing but not bad either they get fairly loud and overall comfort is good they are very light and can easily be worn all day if need be.

The arctis 5 seems to be the best pick as it offers the best features and performance, from what i have read it would appear mic and sound quality suffers slightly on the arctis 7 due to the wireless.

I tried them on for sometime, sounds similar to TAD300 but closed back version. Good headset from SS. Arctis 3 - 5 - 7 are exactly the same with differences of the way they're plugged in. I would stick to HyperX Cloud 1, i feel its much better than arctis. Clouds are a rebranded pro 80 by Takstar iirc.

Above cloud 1, i would just stick with a proper headphone + boompro/modmic/lavalier mic or standalone mic, sounds waaaaaaay better than these "gaming" headsets anytime.
