So during my first build I got very annoyed, I have a MSI Carbon Z270i mobo and it only has 1 USB 2.0 header, but I need two as I have the Kraken x62 & Hue+. I am pretty sure I read on their specs that it said 2 but it's just my stupidity lol.

So for now I decided to not use the Hue+.

I attached a page of my mobo manual.

Ive seen that NZXT sell this IU01 splitter that connects to the 2.0 header and adds an additional 2 headers. My question is would this work and is it safe?

I've seen mixed reviews, it was either great or it destroyed their mobo...

What would you guys reccomend?

NZXT is generally pretty safe with that sort of stuff. Some PCIe and PCI USB 2.0 cards will have an internal header or two built onto the back as well, and those are pretty cheap on Newegg.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

I would recommend a PCIe Expansion card with additional USB headers. This one(https://www.amazon.com/MEXUD-PCI-Express-19Pin-Internal-Adapter/dp/B01LXXKQFA/ref=pd_ybh_a_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=S1FFYPMEHQ7RB6VNWGRQ) has USB 3.0 Headers but 2.0 header cables work with 3.0 headers.
