Hello guys,

I install UbuntuServer on my workstation (You can see the details here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BcqCCy) and I get the same error every time, the error is: "nmi watchdog detected hard lockup on cpu 8" and then i can´t doing nothing on it. Any idea of what I can do to solve it.

Specs of the machine?

I had an issue similar to this, result of my GPU not having any drivers installed. If this is the case, holding "e" in boot might help you by booting in software rendering mode.

Well this COULD be the problem. Does it happen on startup or does it get to desktop and then do it?

i had the 710GT early last year and i did have a problem with booting. I had an older 9800GTX car on Debian and i experienced boot problems when i swapped for a 710; to fix I just needed to remove and install the correct driver version
