I've had a raspberry pi around for a while now, but I finally decided to boot it today. I couldn't find a SD card larger than a gb, so I installed tiny core Linux /picore after some research. I was successful and have reached the desktop, but I'm entirely new to linux, or really software at all (I'm a complete noob with software and decent with hardware) and have no clue what I can do. Apparently I can install apps, but everything seems to be plugins and stuff like that. Can someone just tell me what kind of stuff I can do. I've used some Linux terminal and Python before, but I don't remember much. Help??

I would really try to get at least a 8GB micro sd card it will help alot, I've had my Pi for quite awhile now and you really can do alot with it. In my opinion just embrace Linux and how open it is look up projects and things you can build or make with it. You say your good with hardware well you can connect a bunch of stuff to the Pi to enable it to do more. This may not be the answer you're looking for, but if you have not bought the Pi for a specific reason and just for personal interest like i have put it to use, whilst your making something you should pick up on the command line too. People don't use Linux for the GUI the command line is where it's at.

OK. I was hoping to use it as a portable box PC, but I can't find a web browser. I'm getting a 8gb SD soon btw, I want to use raspbian then, but this is all I have rn
