Case fans setup

sahildale

This will be my first ever build

Please see if my setup is right or should I use positive air pressure

My case will be

Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower

I will use only 3 case fans

1 intake fan at front

1 exhaust fan at rear

1 exhaust fan at top

Negative air pressure

The front, rear and top of the case have dust filters

All the three fans used will be

Cougar Vortex PWM 70.5 CFM 120mm Fan  with sp 2.20

Cpu Cooler used will be

Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler

The cooler along with case fans will be pwm controlled without using pwm hub (my Asus maximus 9 hero has pwm headers)

Both fans of CPU cooler will push air towards rear of the case

Its generally advised to try to obtain positive air pressure since it keeps dust out better but don't worry much about it. Unnecessary to buy extra fans, save some money instead. Stick with the fans that are included with the case.

I would have much liked to but stock fans with the case were only 3 pin so can't use them for pwm without the pwm hub (although the case is provided with pwm hub)

And also the fans are too damn cheap like 12$ so doesn't matter

So if there are dust filters and good cable management how much chance for the dust to stick in the case with negative pressure

Problem with negative pressure is that dust while find its way in through tight places where there are no dust filters. If you have positive pressure however, dust will be pushed out of tight spaces.

And what i mean with tight spaces i mean like, between the case and side panel.

So what should I change in my setup for positive pressure

Rear exhaust fan to intake fan?

Also my CPU cooler has two 4 pin connectors

Do I have to connect them to CPU_fan and CPU_opt
