Hello guys,

Could you please give me some advice on Multi-Display systems? I'm a gamer and I have an Asus PG279Q monitor. I see some people have multi-display systems and it looks so cool. Does any of you guys have it? What do you suggest? Is it practical to use multi-monitors or a focus diversion?

If you guys suggest, please make some recommendations. What monitors should I pick, should i go 4k etc.

Thanks for the help.

Once you go multi-display, you will never go back ....

BUT ....

Unless you want a 3-way setup for gaming or something, most people that I know are most happy with two (2) monitors

1 - Main screen for main use (lets assume its gaming in your case)

2 - usually the same exact (for look) or cheaper monitor - to keep email, browser, whatever open in.

For optimal gaming the PG279Q is about as good as it gets without going to 34" Ultrawide instead.

in that case the existing 27" would be the 'second' monitor, and the ultrawide the main screen.

Personally i use a PG279Q as main (gaming) and a Dell Ultrasharp U2711 as second (color accuracy for video editing) - when im not editing the U2711 has Chrome, Skype, discord, etc open on it is 1/2 screen modes.

As a mutli-display user. It's very nice to have lots of room for applications. I'm rocking three Dell P2715Q's. Three 4K 60hz IPS 10-bit panels, I use the main one (center) as my gaming display. Then the other displays are whatever displays. Anyway it's nice, but not necessary.

I recommend making a setup of 1 21:9 monitor next to a 16:9 monitor

34" 1440p UW (same height as 27" 16:9)

27" 1440p W (16:9 that you already have)

it's gonna be something like this:

I'm planning to spend around 2-3k. Maybe I should upgrade to 2 monitors first. Then 3 or 2+TV

So what's your CPU/GPU? is that 2-3k USD? Are you in the US? What desk do you have?

No I'm not in US but yes it is USD. I use a custom desk. 2 meters long and 80 cm wide.

Then probably just find either a 32" or 40" 4k display and call it a day, probably using it in portrait mode
