ReVive, worth it?

Didn't know where to put this. I really want to play SuperHot but it takes Revive to play. Anyone tried it? Know of a good place to download ReVive?

The HTC Vive can use software called ReVive to play Oculus Rift games. A bit like Dolphin and Nintendo games. Only you can buy the games directly from the Oculus store.

Ohh haha, sorry. Was confused as I play the game myself (but not in VR)

I would say yes to both.
Also has install instructions.

As it's still early software it does seem to have issues, which is expected as like you said, it's kind of emulation.

Yeah I use Dolphin VR too. Though Minecraft works almost flawlessly.

It's not an unsafe software, for most people it works great.

 

Remember, the game's aren't actually tied to the Oculus hardware in any real ways, it's an artificial dependency. As long as your PC can run the games, it should work just fine with your Vive.

From what I've heard it should work fine. As for Superhot VR, it's a lot of fun. Can be rather tricky in some spots, but that just makes it more satisfying when you execute a stabby-shooty-punchy combo just right.

I've used ReVive. Yes, it's safe and works great. Oculus games show up right in the steam menu in VR under a separate tab called ReVive. Enjoy your newly expanded library! I recommend Henry, Lucky's Tale, Oculus' Intro to VR and Dreamdeck. Great apps and they're all free.
